CGMAC Advocates for Coastal Georgia Military Support in Key Meetings with Army, National Guard and Congressional Leaders

The Coastal Georgia Military Affairs Coalition (CGMAC) held significant meetings at the Pentagon on June 4, 2023, with Army and Air National Guard leaders, followed by discussions on June 5, 2023, with members of the Georgia Congressional Delegation. The primary objective was to advocate for the ongoing development and support of military activities, installations, personnel, and families in Coastal Georgia.

During the meetings with Representatives Carter, Scott, Bishop, and Senators Ossoff and Warnock, the delegation underscored their commitment to various military initiatives. Key topics included securing planning and design funding for new hangars and barracks, protecting the Coastal Regional Training Center (CRTC), and obtaining C-130Js for the 165th Airlift Wing.
