Owner Lenon Whitney welcomed loyal patrons, community leaders, and industry partners to the event. Whitney cut the ribbon alongside his staff, marking the return of this beloved downtown spa, known for its exceptional wellness services. Following the ribbon cutting, guests enjoyed chair massages, facials, and giveaways while exploring the newly renovated space with specialty cocktails and delicious lite bites. Southern Tide Opens New Store in Savannah’s Plant Riverside District
Southern Tide, the popular coastal lifestyle apparel brand, celebrated the grand opening of its new store in the Plant Riverside District on Friday, September 13th. Store Manager Kristin Aiken cut the ribbon, welcoming customers to the new location at 300 W River St. Founded in 2006, Southern Tide is a coastal lifestyle apparel brand that embodies a Southern state of mind and adventurous spirit. To celebrate, a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Charlie Komar will mark the occasion on Thursday, September 26th, from 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM. Komar Distribution Savannah Facility specializes in eCommerce, cross-dock carton in/out, transload, drayage, and domestic transportation. This facility boasts 132 cross-dock doors and 55,000 pallet positions. We are conveniently located just 24 miles from the port and 2.5 miles from the Hyundai EV Megaplant and promise a temperature-controlled environment ensuring the comfort and retention of associates. Our facility operates 24/7 to support both receiving and Komar drayage services.

Mary’s Place Sexual Assault Center of the Coastal Empire

Mary’s Place Sexual Assault Center of the Coastal Empire will host a ribbon cutting on Tuesday, October 22nd at 10 AM to commemorate the opening of our brand new “soft room” at the center. The “soft room” includes a newly renovated waiting room and examination room. These newly renovated spaces will better support survivors of sexual assault in our community. Mary’s Place provides various services to support survivors, including telephone advocacy via our 24/7 crisis line, hospital accompaniment, survivor advocacy, support groups, and more. We provide resources and advocacy to over 500 survivors annually and reach over 20,000 youth and young adults with our prevention education programs. Mary’s Place is making a difference in many lives and will continue to address the problem of sexual assault in our community.

Savannah Indoor Golf Club, or SIGC, will host a 1-year Anniversary Open House on Tuesday, October 22nd from 12:00pm – 4:00pm. SIGC is an indoor, members-only, 24/7 golf performance facility that provides its members the ability to play one of over 300+ golf courses like, Pebble Beach, St. Andrews and Bethpage Black, or practice their golf game with exact data from the world’s most accurate golf simulator – Trackman. In addition to the golf simulators, expert golf instruction is provided by Paul Johnson, Certified PGA Professional. Coach Paul offers a junior golf academy for kids being introduced to the game to elite, collegiate prospects. He also provides adult individualized coaching programs or group classes.
