This June, Savannah will play host to the AAU Gymnastics National Championship at the Savannah Convention Center. The event will welcome between 1,500-2,000 athletes accounting for over 5,000 room nights and a direct visitor spend exceeding $3 million for the community. The decision comes after tournament organizers moved the event from Orlando’s Disney World, opting instead for the ease and professionalism of working with the Savannah Sports Council and Savannah Convention Center teams.
