Board & Brush Creative Studio is a DIY studio where they host workshops to make wood signs and other home decor in a fun, instructor-led format. Workshops can be public, or private and are awesome for any special celebration like bachelorette parties, birthdays, etc. They play music, serve free drinks, and have lots of fun!

What new or exciting things are happening with your business?
Over the past year, our business has changed a lot. We now offer Take-home kits for DIY crafting at home; virtual workshops; and have added a whole selection of backyard game projects that can be made in-studio or purchased retail.

How are you standing out from your competitors?
We have navigated the rough waters of Covid19 through innovation and flexibility. We have allowed our business model to change quite a bit in order to keep things working for us, and for our customers. Those who are comfortable getting out can do so in a safe, socially-responsible workshop environment; those who aren’t quite ready can purchase things if needed or buy a kit for some DIY fun at home. We have been a great “outlet” for many people during this rough year.

Why do you think businesses should participate in their local Chamber?
Local Chambers provide businesses with a unified voice to promote a stronger, more vibrant business community. At the same time, Chamber sponsored programs (such as this Spotlight) help expose small businesses to the greater community. Good Chambers provide small businesses with other valuable resources… like a year ago when you invited us to attend a phone call with the President! We’ll always be grateful for that!

What do you love about Savannah?
Everything! The culture and the people here are fantastic… so warm and wonderful… just enjoying life! This has helped to make our business more successful!
