Community Advisors Needed for Student Leadership Program

The Student Leadership Program (SLP) is a partnership between Gulfstream, Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools and the Chatham County business community. SLP engages sophomore, junior and senior students in the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System. SLP partners with area companies to promote and expose high school students to high-demand career opportunities and through teacher and community advisers, students learn important work-ready power skills for their future success in the workplace.  SLP is currently looking for volunteers to join the program as Community Advisors (CA’s).  CA’s support SLP by working alongside with teachers and other community advisers to mentor and lead students in work-ready skills activities to prepare the students for future success in the workplace at 6-8 events each year.  Serving as a community adviser is a great opportunity to volunteer and mentor students in our community while supporting our local workforce needs by helping prepare students for their future careers after high school.  To learn more visit www.discoverSLP.com.
