Visit Tybee spent the day with journalist Kelly Carpenter of Fine Arts Magazine last week while she was on a media visit to Savannah to learn about the area’s artistic atmosphere and arts-related tourism. Visit Tybee’s communications coordinator Ansley Connor took Carpenter on a tour of the island and to Tybee landmarks before they stopped for coffee at Tybean Art & Coffee Bar, then sipped on lattes while they shopped at galleries and local retailers. Carpenter reported that she absolutely loved Tybee’s people and atmosphere. Her morning on the island wrapped up with lunch at The Deck before she returned to Savannah for a tour of SCAD.
