United Way of the Coastal Empire is calling on local businesses to participate in their 2021 fundraising campaign, “Shop and Dine for United Way Day,” Saturday, November 6. It’s an opportunity to show community support as well as a chance to contribute on your company’s behalf to this amazing cause. United Way will spotlight participants on social media channels, potentially driving more business your way.

A growing number of local businesses are already participating by giving back a portion of the day’s proceeds or giving in other creative ways. Below are a few local business leaders who have decided to participate and ask you again to join in support of our community.

There are many ways to participate based on what makes sense for your business, including:

• Donate 10-20% of sales on that day. It’s easy!
• Give back “A Dollar per Margarita” or something similar. This promotes a product, too.
• Match your servers’ tips for the day
• Use your imagination and get your team and customers involved. Have fun!
