Visit Savannah President Joseph Marinelli was confirmed as a new board member of the U.S. Travel Association (USTA) in Washington, DC, last week in front of a gathering of national tourism executives. Marinelli will serve a three-year term alongside fellow state tourism executives, Atlanta CVB CEO William Pate, and Mark Jaronski, Deputy Commissioner of Georgia Tourism.
U.S. Travel Association serves as the advocacy group for policies that will advance and elevate the travel industry on the national level. By engaging with their more than 1,200 members, the U.S. Travel Association provides the industry with the tools, research, and resources needed to influence change at state and local levels.
Roger Dow, U.S. Travel Association President, and CEO commented, “We are thrilled to have Joe and Savannah join our Board and are grateful for the strong representation from Georgia.”
