This past weekend, the Savannah Sports Council welcomed runners from around the country as the Publix Savannah Women’s Half Marathon and 5K made their return to an in-person race after a two-year hiatus. Participants enjoyed a pre-race fashion and fitness expo at the Kehoe Ironworks Building on Friday and perfect weather on Saturday for the half marathon and 5K runs. “We are excited to welcome runners to Savannah for the Publix race,” said Katlyn Presti, sports event manager for the Savannah Sports Council. “Thanks to participation from our sponsors and members, we were able to not only put on a world-class race but offer fun and unique shopping and wellness experiences for our runners.” Thank you to title sponsor Publix and our presenting sponsor T-Mobile along with the St. Joseph’s/Candler.
