Last week, Visit Tybee and Visit Savannah’s Communication Manager, Tanvi Chauhan, attended the coastal tour screening and Georgia state premiere of The Last of the Right Whales at the Lucas Theatre For The Arts. The heart-wrenching documentary is selected as the Best Canadian Feature for 2021 International Environmental Film Festival and the official selection for the 2022 Environmental Film Festival in the Nation’s Capital.
The event was put together by Tybee Island Marine Science Center and featured a post-film Q&A session from marine experts from various institutions including International Fund for Animal Welfare, Tybee Marine Science Center, Sustainable Seas Technology, and reps from Oceana. They discussed their pioneering work and offered insights on some of the most pressing issues facing marine life and our seas.
