Ribbon Cutting for The Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Ascension

The Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Ascension is proud to announce the Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting of it 6 East State location with the Savannah Chamber of Commerce.
6 East State is a ministry site for the Lutheran Church of the Ascension in historic downtown Savannah on Wright Square. As part of our strategic vision of feeding body and soul through worship, service, and discipleship, the site offers alternative opportunities to come together in the urban community. Opening in June 2022, the congregation began hosting events that build on our faith, service to others, historic traditions, and music. The activities range from offering a midweek contemplative communion service, Jazz Vespers with other music events, Brown Bag Speakers Series, serving once a month hot meal to the hungry, along with a community service projects.

Ribbon Cutting for Brooklands Savannah

Ribbon Cutting for Gray’s Reef Ocean Discovery Center

Congratulations on the ribbon cutting for the new Gray’s Reef Ocean Discovery Center and “Save Spectacular” celebration of the 50th anniversary milestone for national marine sanctuaries.

Community leaders, representatives from the Office of National Marine Sanctuaries, and the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation will be celebrated the 50th anniversary of national marine sanctuaries and NOAA’s new Ocean Discovery Center in Savannah. The Gray’s Reef Ocean Discovery Center is anticipated to open to the public in early 2023 and will offer free programs, activities, and opportunities for local residents and visitors to get involved with Gray’s Reef National Marine Sanctuary and the local Chapter of the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation. The Ribbon Cutting Dedication ceremony was followed by a ticketed reception for members of the Gray’s Reef Foundation Chapter, and a public open house is scheduled for Wednesday through Saturday, October 19-22
