After five years as Director of the Savannah Sports Council, Rob Wells has accepted the role as Executive Director for the Wayne County, Ohio, Convention and Visitors Bureau. His careful watch over our owned events like the Enmarket Savannah Bridge Run, the Enmarket Savannah Hockey Classic, the Publix Women’s Half Marathon, and the Georgia Power Sports Awards Banquet is greatly appreciated.

Rob also guided the Sports Council through the difficult pandemic times and led the efforts building up towards Savannah and Chatham County hosting the NAIA Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse National Championships in 2021.

Rob’s last day is November 4, 2022. The team at Visit Savannah and Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce thank him for the great work he has done, and wishes him well as he embarks on a new journey closer to family and dear ones in Ohio.
