Weekly State Legislative Update
The Georgia General Assembly was in recess last week to allow the House and Senate Appropriations Committees to conduct joint state budget hearings. The Joint Appropriations Committee met to begin amending the FY23 budget and setting the funding levels for FY24. The legislature will reconvene on Monday, January 23, for legislative day five and work through Thursday, January 26.
