Visit Savannah’s Director of International Sales, Mindy Shea, recently traveled to Australia with 22 other destination representatives from around the Southeast. The group traveled to Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney as part of a Travel South USA sales mission. The trip included in-office meetings with more than 30 key contacts at Australia’s largest tour operators and three large evening networking events that drew nearly 300 travel advisors.

Savannah is always a popular inclusion for Australian travelers visiting the Southern US or traveling down the east coast. They’ve consistently remained in the top five international visitors to our city. That number is expected to grow as more flights are being launched to America, and Australian travelers continue to look for new and authentic experiences in their travels to the States.
