Chamber Participates in Gulfstream’s Student Leadership Programs Trip to Washington, D.C.

The Chamber’s Conni Reynolds traveled to Washington, D.C., to serve as a Community Advisor for Gulfstream Student Leadership Program. This program exposes high school students to high-demand career opportunities in their community and opportunities to connect with area leaders. Educational trips to destinations like Washington D.C. are designed to help develop student leadership and work-ready power skills through interactive sessions and experiences. The program assists all participants in developing a personal plan for success after graduating high school.

This year, more than 80 local high school students visited Washington, D.C., for an incredible opportunity to tour national monuments, museums, and the U. S. Capital Building. Students also had the privilege to attend the live performance of Disney’s The Lion King at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Representative Buddy Carter welcomed students at the Capital and offered encouraging words as they entered their senior year.

The Chamber would like to thank Gulfstream for their commitment to our community and the opportunities to serve Savannah-Chatham County Public School students.
