Congratulations Mava Byrd, on Your Retirement!
After 20+ years of service as director of Savannah’s Visitor Information Centers, Mava Byrd retired last week to begin her next journey in life. Mava has been an exceptional leader overseeing our Visitor Information Centers. From the renovations to the spaces on MLK and River Street to the creation and ideation of establishing a presence at the Georgia Welcome Center on I-95, to the recent addition of a new Visitor Information Center at City Market, Mava’s leadership has been a big part of the organization’s success. Mava has welcomed millions of visitors to our community each year; her daily presence will be missed.
