Savannah Tops ‘South’s Best Places to Retire’ List for Arts & Culture

Savannah was recently named South’s Best Place for Arts & Culture by Southern Living + Investopedia’s inaugural “South’s Best Places to Retire” list. The list features twelve categories, with winners evaluated by Southern Living and Investopedia’s data, research, and editorial perspectives. The deeply researched list features charming towns and cities across the South that offer excellent quality of life and make sense financially.

The cities and towns chosen for the Southern Living & Investopedia Best Places to Retire List were selected from 41 top-rated cities and towns from Southern Living’s The South’s Best 2023 series. The final list of Best Places to Retire was chosen based on how each city or town compared to the U.S. as a whole on a variety of economic and lifestyle criteria, including: home and rental affordability, average resident age, unemployment, best industries for jobs and wages, the prevalence of restaurants, hospitals, and colleges.
