Savannah’s Small Business Community Thrives During Expanded Week of Support

Savannah’s Small Business Week 2024 was a success, transforming into a week-long powerhouse of resources, celebration, and collaboration. Led by the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the City of Savannah and numerous business organizations, the event surpassed all expectations. The week kicked off with the Chamber’s Forum at Enmarket Arena, featuring sessions on navigating healthcare, marketing strategies, and connecting with large corporations. A dedicated job fair enabled on-the-spot connections and hiring between small businesses and job seekers. Highlights included the Mayor’s Small Business Conference, offering insights into state and federal resources. Inspiring keynotes from Parker’s founder Greg Parker and former Savannah Chamber intern Calvin Butts Jr. ignited the entrepreneurial spirit. Community events like Sips at the Station, the Broughton Street Cleanup, the Greater Savannah Black Chamber networking mixer, and a Chamber-led press conference emphasized small businesses’ vital role in supporting the community. The Metropolitan Savannah Hispanic Chamber of Commerce hosted a celebratory finale honoring the achievements of the Hispanic business community.
