Savannah Chamber of Commerce Welcomes the Home Depot Foundation and 300 Executives to Support Veterans Transitioning from Homelessness

In partnership with the Chatham Savannah Authority for Homelessness (CSAH), the Home Depot Foundation brought 300 executives to visit Savannah and make a real difference in the lives of our veterans transitioning out of homelessness. The event was further brightened by the Savannah Bananas’ entertainment and local artists’ special performances.
The Home Depot Foundation provided financial support of $600,000 in materials and services for improvements at the Cove at Dundee, but their executive leadership also rolled up their sleeves and physically volunteered in the tiny home village. The team lent their time and expertise to making it a better place for our heroes.

Mayor Van Johnson and Jennifer Davenport, Chamber VP of Community Affairs and board member of CSAH, were on hand to welcome the visitors as they began the projects last week. A Chamber and CSAH board member, Jenny Gentry, joined the festive kickoff. Thank you, Home Depot Foundation, for your dedication to giving back and your unwavering support of those who’ve served our country. Together, we’re building brighter futures and stronger communities for those exiting homelessness.
