Major General Christopher Norris Addresses Rotarians on Russia’s Invasion of Ukraine and Modern Warfare Evolution

The Savannah Chamber of Commerce attended an informative presentation by Major General Christopher Norris, Commanding General of the 3rd Infantry Division and Fort Stewart, at Downtown Rotary Club, where he provided his perspective on the current and potential future developments of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

He commented on the United States and NATO’s role in preventing further expansion and how the United States is actively monitoring and learning from Russia’s every move. He discussed the evolution of modern warfare, primarily focusing on how drone technology is revolutionizing military tactics and strategies. Major General Norris also explored the possible implications of the conflict and how Russia continues to look at prospective countries to invade and claim as their own.

After the presentation, he was joined by Command Sergeant Major Jonathan Reffeor, who helped answer questions and spoke about the heightened morale of overseas soldiers. Attending was a privilege, and the Chamber extends its heartfelt thanks for the valuable insights shared about what’s happening in Ukraine and Russia.
