Chamber PR Council Talks Diversity in the Industry
At January’s PR Council meeting, Krystal Hart and Ageda Machuca, community managers at My Agency Savannah, gave a presentation on diversity in the public relations industry. Hart and Machuca addressed the fact that diversity is not only about racial, ethnic, religious, sexual orientation and gender differences, but also about diversity of skill sets, mindsets and cultures at all levels of the business world. The presentation allowed for the room to discuss issues of inclusiveness and sensitivity in marketing as well as crisis communications.
