Chamber Ambassadors and Staff Tour Second Harvest, Pack 144 Food Boxes to Fight Hunger

The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors and staff recently toured Second Harvest’s new facility on Chatham Parkway, gaining valuable insights into the organization’s critical role in combating food insecurity across our community and 21 surrounding counties.

During the visit, Ambassadors learned about Second Harvest’s innovative programs and their positive impact on individuals and families in need. The tour was informative and inspiring, underscoring the importance of supporting organizations providing such essential services.

After the tour, Ambassadors and Chamber staff participated in a hands-on volunteer activity, packing 144 food boxes to help provide meals for local households. This collaborative effort showcased the Chamber’s dedication to making a meaningful difference in the community and supporting Second Harvest’s vital work.
