Last week, Visit Savannah’s team—Joseph Marinelli, Angela Westerfield, and Supriya Christopher—hosted a VIP site visit for top editors and the publisher of Travel + Leisure magazine.

Earlier this year, Savannah earned the #3 spot (out of 98 cities!) in T+L’s prestigious “World’s Best” awards. The visiting team from New York included Katy Bano, Executive Vice President and Publisher, Denny Lee, Articles Editor, and Jennifer Flan, Executive Editor. After a breakfast meeting with leading Savannah hoteliers, the group toured prominent locations such as Hotel Bardo, Perry Lane Hotel, the Thompson Hotel, and the Plant Riverside District.

Upon leaving, Ms. Bano remarked, “It’s been a few years since we’ve visited Savannah, and seeing all the developments here is exciting. It’s easy to understand why Travel + Leisure readers consistently rank Savannah as one of our top destinations.”
