Leonard Truck Outfitters Celebrates Grand Opening in Savannah
Leonard Truck Outfitters marked the opening of its new Savannah location with a two-day grand opening celebration on October 11th and 12th. The event featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, and a live radio broadcast on Saturday. They offered guests a delicious lunch, giveaways, and special promotions. Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce President & CEO, Bert Brantley welcomed the new storefront to the Savannah business community. Fellow chamber members, community members and industry partners joined the celebration, and visitors had the chance to enter a raffle to win a Coleman golf cart. The new location offers a wide range of truck accessories, trailers, sheds, and commercial upfits from top brands like Real Truck, UWS, Weather Guard, and Carry On Trailers. Leonard Truck Outfitters has been serving the Southeast for years and is excited to expand its services and to call Savannah their new home. Courtyard Lifestyle will celebrate its second anniversary on Thursday, October 17, at 10 a.m. Savannah’s most beautiful store is the brainchild of renowned interior designer Chuck Chewning and is an extension of his active design studio, also located in the same space. With a focus on carefree indoor and outdoor living, the store offers a unique combination of items, including gifts, home and courtyard décor, antique, vintage and modern finds, tabletop, faux flowers and plants, and much more. The store and studio are in the burgeoning West Broad district at MLK & Jones, in what many Savannahians remember as the old Thrifty Hardware building. Savannah Indoor Golf Club, or SIGC, will host a 1st Anniversary Open House on Tuesday, October 22nd, from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm. SIGC is an indoor, members-only, 24/7 golf performance facility that provides its members the ability to play one of over 300+ golf courses like Pebble Beach, St. Andrews, and Bethpage Black or practice their golf game with exact data from the world’s most accurate golf simulator – Trackman. In addition to the golf simulators, Paul Johnson, a Certified PGA Professional, provides expert golf instruction. Coach Paul offers a junior golf academy for kids being introduced to the game to elite collegiate prospects. He also provides adult individualized coaching programs or group classes.

Mary’s Place Sexual Assault Center of the Coastal Empire

Mary’s Place Sexual Assault Center of the Coastal Empire will host a ribbon cutting on Tuesday, October 22nd at 10 AM to commemorate the opening of our brand new “soft room” at the center. The “soft room” includes a newly renovated waiting room and examination room. These newly renovated spaces will better support survivors of sexual assault in our community. Mary’s Place provides a wide range of services to support survivors, including telephone advocacy via our 24/7 crisis line, hospital accompaniment, survivor advocacy, support groups, and more. We provide resources and advocacy to over 500 survivors per year and reach over 20,000 youth and young adults with our prevention education programs. Mary’s Place is making a difference in many lives and will continue to address the problem of sexual assault in our community.
