Last week, the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce’s Military Affairs Council proudly hosted its annual Veterans’ Day Tribute and Military Briefing Luncheon, honoring veterans and providing an essential update on military affairs. The event took place at the Air Dominance Center – Combat Readiness Training Center, drawing over 200 attendees for an afternoon of celebration and insight into the state of military readiness and activities.

The event began with a warm welcome from Col. Marc Austin, Garrison Commander of Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield, who greeted the crowd and delivered opening remarks. Col. David C. Smith, Director of Staff for Headquarters Georgia Air National Guard, followed with a keynote address, providing updates on military affairs at the local, state, and federal levels, with a particular focus on our region’s vital military installations.
