Savannah was well represented at last week’s Georgia Chamber of Commerce Eggs and Issues breakfast, where attendees from around the state heard about the legislative priorities of Governor Brian Kemp, Lt. Governor Burt Jones and Speaker of the House Jon Burns.

Savannah Area Chamber Vice President for Government Affairs Jared Downs will once again lead our efforts at the state Capitol, advocating items on the Chamber’s legislative agenda and watching for other items that could affect our state and regional business climate.
As a reminder, our region will be in the spotlight during Savannah Chatham Day on Wednesday, January 29. From 3-5 p.m., attendees will learn about our local legislative priorities and hear from influential statewide leaders. Then, at 5 p.m., our Legislative Oyster Roast begins at the Georgia Freight Depot adjacent to the state Capitol,
