It’s estimated that this year, more than 3 million Chinese citizens will travel to the U.S., making it one of the fastest-growing international markets. Chinese travelers were the focus of a tradeshow recently attended by Visit Savannah’s Mindy Shea, director of tour, travel and international sales.
The Active America China show was held in Atlanta, where Shea had the opportunity to attend educational sessions as well as meet one-on-one with nearly 30 Chinese tour operators and travel agents. Starting in July, Delta will re-establish direct flights from Shanghai to Atlanta, making this market more important to Savannah than ever.
