Grand Openings & Ribbon Cuttings for the Week of 4/30/18

Please support your fellow Chamber members by attending these upcoming ribbon cutting and grand opening events.

Congratulations to the Following Members:

BYRD COOKIE COMPANY

Byrd Cookie Company hosted the grand opening and ribbon cutting of its new retail store and new corporate headquarters, both of which are located in the former Exchange Tavern building on Waters Avenue. The first 500 guests to visit the location received a bag of Byrd’s Scotch Oatmeal Cookies. The new corporate headquarters and production facility will increase Byrd’s output nearly 10 times. Congratulations to our friends at Byrd Cookie Company!

CALVARY DAY SCHOOL

Last Thursday, Calvary Day School invited parents, alumni, supporters, administrators, and local media to celebrate the completion of its new 83,000-square-foot athletic complex. More than 600 Calvary Day students also gathered to observe the ribbon cutting.

The athletic facility is named Specialty Sports Complex in honor of the contributions of PCG Family Holdings. Specialty Sports is a local business fully invested in Savannah athletics and Calvary Day School. The school partnered with Field Turf to install a top-of-the-line CORE system for students. While Field Turf has eight different levels of fields, the CORE system is their premier field. Congratulations to Calvary Day School!

COASTAL PET RESCUE

It’s a party that’s been 15 years in the making! Coastal Pet Rescue held its 15th anniversary bash Saturday, April 28 historic at Grayson Stadium. The event featured entertainment by The Mandrakes, pet portraits by Photos by Becky, photos with the Star Wars 501st Georgia Garrison, and games by Savannah Sport and Social. Pets ran the bases with their people, and CPR hosted an alumni section to reconnect adopted pets with their rescuers. Attendees got to shop from local vendors as well as purchase this season’s Bark in the Park tickets for upcoming Savannah Bananas games, and Coastal Pet Rescue also had adoptable pets on site. All proceeds will be directed to Coastal Pet Rescue’s capital campaign for housing upgrades at their shelter, Camp Pawsawhile Retreat. Congratulations, Coastal Pet Rescue!
