Six French tour operators from Gastaldi USA stopped through Savannah on a familiarization trip to the Georgia and Carolina coasts. The majority of the group had never been to the southern U.S. before and expressed an appreciation for what they were learning about the area. They particularly enjoyed the Low Country’s unique cuisine, especially Southern-style biscuits which they don’t have in France. All of the attendees said they’d be promoting Savannah more frequently to their travelers now that they are familiar with the city and all it has to offer.
