The Chamber Power Hour presented by The Small Business Council | July 10

Join the Chamber’s Small Business Council for a lunch-and-learn, Tuesday July 10 at local favorite haunt The Pirates’ House! Speaking this month will be Phil Hudson, chief executive officer of Rook SEO, getting back to online basics with “Fundamentals of Internet Marketing.” In this presentation, Hudson will present a primer on website basics so attendees can identify whether a vendor is a good match for their marketing budget, or simply hiding behind smoke and mirrors. Hudson will break down how Google looks at websites to determine who to rank higher in the search engines and what small business owners have control over to help persuade them to choose their website. The session will also empower business owners to know when someone is promising something they cannot deliver. They will be able to begin the process of search engine optimization by changing what they control on their website to rank better and drive more business.
Rook SEO will also host a drawing for a free website for a company in attendance that does not have one (a $5,000 value) and an SEO packages for two businesses (a $12,000 value) to help leverage technology in order to drive sales.

Lunch will be provided, as well as a dedicated networking opportunity.
