More than 50 members of Savannah’s hospitality community attended a workshop called “Steps to Success” last week, hosted by Visit Savannah and the state’s tourism office. During the course of the seminar, attendees learned not only about the importance of international visitors to our area, but also how to attract them to their businesses. They represented nearly every facet of the hospitality industry, including hotels, restaurants, retail stores, tours, and attractions.
Last year Savannah’s visitor’s centers tracked over 22,000 international visitors to our city, making international tourism a vital part of our tourism industry.
