Over the summer, Chamber’s New Zoning Ordinance (NewZO) Group hosted 16 meetings with the City of Savannah, the Metropolitan Planning Commission and identified industry-specific sectors to discuss the recently released NewZO Draft 4. Because of these meetings, numerous changes were made to NewZO Draft 4, which are reflected in the Final Draft 5 NewZO.
As the NewZO process continues, the City of Savannah has scheduled six district town hall meetings to continue the NewZO discussion. We encourage members who have further questions or interest concerning NewZO to attend one of the following meetings:

District 1 Alderman Van Johnson Town Hall Meeting
When:        Monday, November 26; 6:30 – 8 p.m.

District 2 Alderman Bill Durrence Town Hall Meeting
When:        Wednesday, November 7; 6:30 – 8 p.m.

District 3 Alderman John Hall Town Hall Meeting
When:        Monday, October 29; 6 – 7:30 p.m.

District 4 Alderman Julian Miller Town Hall Meeting
When:        Wednesday, November 28; 6:30 – 8 p.m.
Where:       Marsh Auditorium at Candler General Hospital, 5353 Reynolds Street

 District 5 Alderwoman Estella Shabazz Town Hall Meeting
When:        Monday, November 19; 6:30 – 8 p.m.
