Throughout the month of November, the Chamber of Commerce’s staff prepared for the Thanksgiving holiday by gathering donations requested by the staff of the Oatland Island Wildlife Center. The mostly-outdoor wildlife education center on Whitemarsh Island sustained enough damage from a tornado last September to require it to close to make repairs. In the meantime, the Center still needs funds to feed and maintain its collection of animals native to the area.
The Chamber staff made a large donation of requested items from the Center’s Animal Wish List and gathered the donations at their November staff Thanksgiving luncheon. If you or your organization are interested in making a donation to Oatland Island, visit the Support page on their website.
