Earlier this month, Mava Byrd, director of the Main Visitor Information Center, hosted a meeting of visitor center managers from nearby areas. While here, the regional VIC managers had their quarterly meeting during lunch at Tubby’s Tank House in Thunderbolt. The managers also had time to tour Savannah’s Historic District and the Moon River District. Kelly Tours led the managers on tours of Wormsloe State Historic Site, Bethesda Academy, and Bonaventure Cemetery. The regional meeting and learning session included representatives of visitor centers in Vidalia, Metter, Sylvania, Darien and Dublin, as well as our own representatives from Tybee Island and Savannah.
