Regional BETA Club Convention Visits Savannah

Over 3,300 regional high school juniors and seniors visited Savannah last week for their BETA Club annual competition and convention. The events were held at the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center and utilized 12 historic district hotels. Attendees enjoyed rides on the Georgia Queen back and forth to the Trade Center and patronized area businesses around town for the long weekend generating over $500 million in projected visitor spending. The National BETA Club convention is booked in Savannah for June of 2018, and is expected to attract over 17,000 attendees.
