Visit Savannah President Joseph Marinelli along with Sara Lane from Visit Tybee and Micheal Owens of the Savannah Tourism Leadership Council attended Georgia Tourism Day at the Capitol in Atlanta last week. The tourism and hospitality industry presented Governor Nathan Deal with a check for $3 billion collected in 2016 from state and local taxes. Governor Deal proclaimed, “That’s three billion…with a B!”
