Visit Savannah and Visit Tybee played host to 19 tour operators last week during their annual Tour Operator FAM (familiarization trip). The event is organized to showcase all the city has to offer to tour groups, and to highlight new attractions and programs. This year’s FAM included a reception at Ghost Coast Distillery, a gospel dinner cruise aboard the Savannah Riverboat, a city historic tour, a visit to the new American Prohibition Museum, a tour and dance demonstration at The Davenport House Museum, a surprise ice cream break with Leopold’s Ice Cream, an evening ghost tour, an interactive program at the Pin Point Heritage Museum, and a full day and evening on Tybee Island, including dinner in a private Tybee home compliments of Linda Odom with Tales of the South.
