Visit Savannah’s Group Tour & Travel Team recently had the opportunity to experience one of the city’s newest attractions, the Savannah African Art Museum. Mindy Shea, director of tour, travel and international sales, and Melissa Hayes, group tour sales manager, were given a guided tour through the fascinating museum housing more than 1000 objects from West and Central Africa. The artifacts are part of a private collection and showcase a range of ceremonial and spiritual objects from the 19^th and 20^th centuries. Located at 111 E. 34^th Street, the museum is open Thursday through Saturday and the admission is free of charge.
