DOT Shuttle Announces New Routes and Stops

Savannah’s fare-free shuttle service for residents and visitors to downtown has announced two new routes and an increase in shuttle stops from 12 to 24, as well as a reduction in wait times between shuttles: there will now be only about 10 minutes between shuttles at any given stop.
The two new routes, a downtown route and a Forsyth route, will replace both the previous routes and the Liberty Street parking garage shuttle. Riders will be able to leave their vehicles at public parking garages or hotel lots and use the updated service to visit 24 popular locations in Savannah’s Historic District. The new DOT service will also connect to Hutchinson Island with its fare-free ferry service across the Savannah River.

Services are available to any rider at no cost during the following times:

  • Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
