Sign up to Participate in Student Workforce Program

The Savannah Chamber has partnered with the City of Savannah on a youth work program created to develop and enhance workforce skills for high school students.
The initiative comes as the second phase of the city’s 2013 Pre-apprentice Program, created in partnership with the Savannah Impact Program, and geared toward teens who would most benefit from education and work skills training. Students who are already being exposed to literacy development, soft skills training, work and family relationship building and volunteerism, will have the ability to put their knowledge to use through coordinated job opportunities. Participation from the Savannah business community will help make this program a possibility. For this program, part-time student jobs are needed from employers of all industries. The program will run from June 15-July 21, will consist of a 15-20-hour work week and will require a maximum business investment of $1,300 per student.

We urge our members to support this important initiative. Your involvement will result in the development and growth of our future workforce.
