Visit Savannah Attends Meetings with Consul General of Ireland
Joseph Marinelli, president of Visit Savannah, participated in a luncheon with the new Consul General of Ireland, Shane Stephens, and a representative from Wexford, Ireland, Mr. Larry Byrne. Hosted by World Trade Center Savannah, representatives from the Savannah Economic Development Authority and Georgia Southern University were also present. The meeting was intended to introduce Consul General Stephens to Savannah and to highlight the Georgia Southern Center for Irish Research. Discussions also included ways to increase visitation to Savannah from Ireland.
