Attend Department of Justice Reentry Conference Feb. 17

The Savannah Chamber has been working in partnership with the U.S. Attorney’s Office and Department of Justice on an important initiative that impacts both the Savannah workforce and community.
Known as the Reentry Program, this national initiative emphasizes the importance of successfully reintegrating past offenders back into society by easing the process of employment, ultimately resulting in reduced recidivism rates and increased safety of our community.

A Reentry Conference will be held Wednesday, Feb. 17 to educate local business leaders on the incentives, strategies and solutions to issues surrounding the employment of returning citizens. Speakers include state and local government officials, employers and an expert Q&A panel session to address the comments and concerns of the local business community.

We hope you will plan to join us for this event.

Please confirm your attendance with Katie Guardino, at katherine.guardino@usdoj.gov or 912-201-2522, no later than Friday, Feb. 5.
