Visit Savannah Receives National Award for Video Series

The Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) honored Visit Savannah with a platinum Adrian Award for digital marketing excellence for its “Savannah Hauntings” Facebook video series entry in the 59th annual Adrian Awards, the largest and most prestigious global travel marketing competition.

This year’s contest was one of the most competitive in history, garnering more than 1,300 entries from around the world, with entries judged by executives from all sectors of the industry.

Visit Savannah’s winning entry featured eight Savannah ghost stories that highlight the destination’s haunted places. The video series was produced in conjunction with Savannah-based SpyHop Brand Video and features black-and-white footage, well-crafted stories, voiceover, sound and special effects. The series has generated more than 302,967 views on Facebook while reaching 880,076 people.

HSMAI paid tribute to Visit Savannah during the annual HSMAI Adrian Awards Gala, a black-tie affair attended by more than 1,000 hospitality, travel and tourism marketing executives at the New York Marriott Marquis on Feb. 16, where Visit Savannah staff Joseph Marinelli, Jeremy Harvey and Lauren Cleland, accepted the award.
