Representatives from Georgia State Visitor Centers visit Tybee Island
Sixteen representatives from Georgia State Visitor Centers visited Tybee Island last week for a familiarization tour of the island. Attendees represented Augusta, Columbus, Macon, Ringgold, West Point and Valdosta visitor centers. While at Tybee, the group visited the Tybee Lighthouse, took a dolphin tour, experienced Tybee’s marine life through a beach walk with the Tybee Island Marine Science Center, visited the newly restored Tybee Post Theater and enjoyed fresh seafood at The Crab Shack. The purpose of the trip was to educate representatives about all that Tybee Island offers in order to better assist visitors who stop at visitor centers throughout Georgia.
