Competitor Group International President, Josh Furlow, met with Mayor Eddie DeLoach and Visit Savannah President, Joseph Marinelli, to introduce the Savannah Rock ‘n Roll Marathon event to the new mayor. Earlier that day, Furlow and Marinelli publicly announced an agreement to extend the race weekend activities through November 2018. The combined marathon, half marathon, expo, 5K and 1-mile activities help to attract more than 20,000 people to the city annually and generate tens of millions of dollars in visitor spending.
