Serve on City and County Board, Commissions and Authorities

Currently, there are openings on a number of City of Savannah/Chatham County boards, commissions and authorities. The Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Savannah accept applications through Thursday, March 24 at noon for appointments and reappointments. Some of the appointments include the Coastal Workforce Investment Board, Historic District Board of Review, the Metropolitan Planning Commission, the Savannah Airport Commission and the Savannah Zoning Board of Appeals. All of these entities play important roles in the health and welfare of the business community, and it is important that the business community have a voice on these various boards and authorities.

The Savannah Chamber encourage you to go to the City of Savannah’s website by clicking here, to learn more about these appointments as well as the other appointments available, and to submit an application. You will also find an explanation of the requirements and responsibilities necessary for each. Upon completion of the appointment process by the Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Savannah, all applicants and appointees will be notified.
