Visit Savannah met with 59 tour operators this year at Travel South Domestic Showcase held in Winston-Salem, N.C. Sixteen leads were generated from the show, four of which were new companies out of the Midwest. Travel South is a regional appointment-style marketplace focused on increasing travel to and within the southern states. The showcase offers the most targeted opportunity for tour operators and travel service providers to meet face-to-face with southern travel suppliers. This year, Visit Savannah had the opportunity to host 20 clients for dinner at a local restaurant called The Spring House. The dinner, hosted by Visit Savannah and local partners Visit Tybee, Old Savannah Tours, Savannah Riverboat Cruises and the Savannah Theatre, was a success.
