Upcoming events:

On Friday, June 24, Savannah State University invites the community to attend two groundbreaking ceremonies for new SSU buildings. The first will be held at what will be the new Marine Sciences Building (2717 Livingston Ave.; site of the former Savannah Italian Club) at 2 p.m. The second groundbreaking will follow at what will be the new Science and Technology Building (SSU campus – North Tompkins Road, near Kennedy Fine Arts Building) at 3 p.m. In case of rain, the ceremonies will be held in the Jordan Building auditorium. THE AUSTRALIAN ABORIGINAL ART GALLERY HOLDS GRAND OPENING

Congratulations to The Australian Aboriginal Art Gallery, located at 404 W. Broughton Street, on its grand opening celebration held on Wednesday, May 25. The Australian Aboriginal Art Gallery is the only art gallery on the East Coast dedicated to Australian Aboriginal art. Guests enjoyed a painting silent auction, with proceeds benefiting The Dwayne & Cynthia Willett Children’s Hospital of Savannah at Memorial Health, and entertainment provided by Didgeridoo Down Under.
