Tybee Post Theater to Host Thanksgiving Musical Celebration for Roof Repairs

It’s Broadway to the Beach in this unbelievable tribute to the blues, R&B and the holidays with a stellar lineup of artists on stage in a “roof-raising” benefit for the Post. Thanks to Matthew’s unforgiving visit, the Post Theater suffered significant damage and needs a new roof.
Broadway innovator Jim Wann, a part-time Tybee resident, will host and perform at this lively holiday concert starring neighbors and friends: popular standards, soul and gospel singer Kim Michael Polote and Savannah’s “premier soul and R&B band” Tradewinds, accompanied by Steven Bryan, formerly of The Coasters and Little Anthony and The Imperials.

Wann, the lead composer and leading man of the Broadway hit “Pump Boys and Dinettes,” says they’ve put together a rousing show that focuses on songs on the theme of community and the theater, such as “Up on the Roof” and “Without Love (Where Would You Be Now),” a mix of soul, classic rock, pop, standards, and holiday music that will have you dancing in the aisles.

The benefit consists of two performances: Friday, November 25, at 8 p.m. and Saturday, November 26 at 4 p.m. General admission tickets are $25, and premium $50 Raising the Roof and Dancing in the Aisles seats in the first four rows. Contact the Tybee Post Theater at 912.472.4790 for more information or to purchase your tickets.
