Harkleroad Diamonds & Fine Jewelry recently celebrated its 30th anniversary at its annual holiday open house. Pictured are three generations who have been involved in the business: Caleb Harkleroad, Marion Harkleroad Sr. and Marion Harkleroad Jr. To complement the pearl theme as a traditional gift for the 30th anniversary and to commemorate this milestone in the company’s history, a portion of sales during the event will be donated to the UGA Marine Extension oyster hatchery, established last year to revive the once-thriving industry in Georgia that led the country in oyster production. THE KESSLER COLLECTION’S PLANT RIVERSIDE DISTRICT

The Kessler Collection officially broke ground last Wednesday on its Plant Riverside District, a 419-room J.W. Marriott luxury hotel. The 670,000-square foot property will also include retail space, 13 food and beverage outlets including 3 rooftop bars, an art gallery, a live music venue to accommodate 700, a 484-space parking deck and a 1.5 acre public park along the river. The groundbreaking event featured live music by Velvet Caravan Quartet, a tour of the former power plant building, and refreshments. Congratulations to The Kessler Collection!

QUICKSHOT SAVANNAH

Last Friday, Quickshot Savannah hosted a ribbon cutting at their new location at 7202 White Bluff Road. Quickshot is the newest shooting range in the Savannah community with additional locations in the Atlanta and Charleston, SC areas.
